Well today is my first day as blogger. My first blog is about insight I gained into living a life of Minimalism.

I do not disagree with being wealthy but its the cost of wealth that is my concern.

Over the last few months it has been weighing heavily on my heart that scaling down to the basics and to live with a minimalist approach is the right thing to do. I do not know if its the political situation in South Africa or not that is influencing my thnking buy it is as if you feel FREE when you live a basic lifestyle. Think oif your just married days. More time for your spouse and less time working and fixing assets and of course paying for those assets - buying, maintaining and insuring the assets.
That is not how our lives should be? Should our lives be about things or our relationships and happiness - being content with yourself?
When I read comments on Facebook about those who are shouting for land and we want this and we want that I am not only thinking that they are upset because they voted for a government that failed them - not because of incompetence only but because what was promised to them is only possible in a fairy tale. That made them sit back and wait for government to hand out. In the meantime teh education system, the health system, electricity supply and the transport system has totally collapsed unter the new government. Which now makes these individuals MORE dependnet on hand outs from teh State. However “Dependency strips away everything that is good with people. It takes their strengths, your creativity, and your willingness to work hard to achieve personal goals.” Watch this video https://www.facebook.com/NashvilleTeaParty/videos/700213757043036/
However getting back to my point. People need to understand there is more to life than owning your own piece of land. Well its perhaps easy to say that when you are in a position where you own a house. However when you own a piece of land you understand the cost of maintaining - that is if you do not get everything for free.
